Our SMD LEDs allow these strips an amazing amount fo flexibility without causing damage to the products. Each Ribbon LED strips are equipped with adhesive backing, and can be stuck just about anywhere you need the light. Just peel away 3M adhesive backing and stick to install anywhere you need the light. They can be cut every 3-leds interval. A clearly-marked line shows exactly where to cut. Pairs of indicated solder spots provide great contacts for attaching wires, each one is indicated with a + sign for positive, and - sign for negative. The standard reel has 5 meters (16.4 feet), and 5/16" width, 1/130" thickness of LED strip. It can be easily connected multiple runs together by soldering the contacts. Once soldering being finished, a dab of silicone can be added to re-insure the waterproof-ability, if needed. Our available switching power transformers are 24, 36, 48, 60, 100, and 150 Watts. First let me say that this stuff is sold by the foot, so when you order "more than one" of them, they send it as a continuous strip however many feet long.
For example, I ordered 2 of this and they send a continuous 2-foot long strip. Slightly longer than 2 feet, as it happens (~.5").
Second, this particular strip is extremely bright. in a dark room, 2 feet throw enough light to read by comfortably at 5 feet away (note that my eyes are more light sensitive than most). I ordered this to mount inside my aquarium light fixture (it's enclosed, so it didn't need to be waterproof) to add some more light to the tank. Mounting is ridiculously easy, because I had a flat spot to stick it to: peel and stick, no fuss, no muss.
The wiring is simple, two thin wires, (almost 2 feet long themselves, but I don't know how typical that is) clearly marked for positive and negative (it's on the strip at the connection point, and the wires are different colors). I haven't finished permanently wiring it up yet, but it's about as simple as it gets.
I've also ordered the waterproof strip from them, and it came with a nice waterproof connector (both parts of the connector) so wiring that was nice and easy as well.
