Definitely is a heafty price for a light that doesn't do much but show a fake flame. However, for the money you spend, at least you can see the quality in the unit. It is heavy duty construction, larger than it looks and you can tell a good amount of thought went into how to make it work the best... nice powerful fan, strategically placed LEDs to render the effect. If you could get it for $30, I'd rate it a 5, my lower rating is only because it is more costly than it reasonably should be. For $50 and up... there are probably better overall lighting effects to invest in... but... it is still cool for what it is. The product itself is really nice... my cat thought it was the coolest thing he ever saw.

My friends all love the look of this 'flame'. It is a lot bigger than I expected. Very realistic and bright - my only complaint is that there is no on/off switch.
